Want to Become a Coach or Board Member?

We would love all the help we can get!  

Although know that to become a board member, you will need to come to a board meeting and be voted in as a member in an open position.  Please reach out to our board via Phone/Email/Facebook to find out when our next meeting is.

To become a coach you will need to talk to the Coaching/Cheer Coordinator who will get you in contact with the Head Coach, if one is appointed, and then you will need approval from the Head Coach of the team you wish to coach on.

Once you have been approved by the Board or Cheer/Coach Coordinator, these are the 3 things you will need to complete to become a coach/board member for the Colfax Jr Falcons Football and Cheer Organization. 

 1.) Badging
You will need to go to a badging date which the SYF has in February at the Reno Clinic and sporadically between June and August.  They usually tell us about a week before each badging date in June and July.  Talk to the Board President to find out the next one available.  They will take your picture and register you as one of our coaches. 

 2.) CDC Training

You will need to complete the CDC concussion Online Training each year (Link Below) and print or save the certificate as a PDF and email it to president@colfaxjrfalcons.org or physically turn it in to the Board President.

3.) DOJ Fingerprinting

You will receive some forms to take to Auburn Mail n More and get your fingerprints taken and sent to DOJ for a background check.  We have a contract with them if you bring the forms, it will be billed to the league.  

Once you have been approved by the Head Coach & Coaching/Cheer Coordinator, and you have completed these 3 tasks, you will be certified to coach in practices/games/competitions.
